Vice President, Capital Markets
Christian leads our capital markets team and is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing debt for our entire portfolio. He also oversees our communications with institutional and individual equity investors. Christian has over 10 years of healthcare real estate experience, with a focus on underwriting and financial analysis for acquisition and development transactions and enhancing the value of portfolio assets.
Most recently, Christian served as Chief Operating Officer at Cobalt Medical Partners, where he was involved in all aspects of the real estate, hospital operations, and senior living divisions. In addition to overall corporate strategy and management, he led all financial activity for the firm, as well as oversaw investor relations, development management, and risk management. Prior to Cobalt, Christian worked as Vice President & Director of Underwriting at EDGE Realty Capital Markets, where he led the financial underwriting of all real estate asset property types for the capital markets team. Before EDGE, he worked at Rainier Capital Management, where he managed similar responsibilities on the acquisitions and development side of the business for their medical division. Additionally, he worked for seven years in the political and national security arenas in Washington, DC.
Christian received his BSFS in International Politics from Georgetown University and his MBA in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University. He is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. Outside of work, Christian loves spending time with his wife Becky and two children, and he enjoys movies, good restaurants, college sports, and spending time outdoors – especially in the mountains of Colorado.
